Good Morning from the other side of the world! Mornings start early here. Due to the time change, your system’s internal clock takes a beating. Last night about 11pm when we were heading to bed, everyone was exhausted. You read about 30 seconds and pass out. 4am rolls around and you’re wide-awake. It’s horrible! Toward the end of our trip, we’ll be acclimated to this time zone then it’s time to return home. Regrettable, you repeat the process there. For these college students, they didn’t realize that there was a 4 or 5am.
Thank you for your prayers. We have already seen the Father moving is so many ways. From traveling mercies to no detainment and Bibles delivered, we have seen the faithfulness of our Father. He honors our prayers!
Please continue to remember our seeds planted and upcoming opportunities. Pray for the Bibles delivered yesterday. Even today, they are being delivered to house church leaders near the Russia border. Many of these churches share a handful of Bibles. Their leaders have nothing as fine as these discipleship Bibles we delivered. Pray for much fruit.
Pray for John a house church pastor. John has been pastor of a house church for 10 years and has 70 committed believers. Yesterday, we asked him the difference between his church and the government church. The biggest difference is that all sermons and teaching material has to be approved by the government before delivered in a government.
He shared his conviction that the Word of God needs no approval from man. We asked John about denominations here in this country. Laughing, he shared that there are no denomination. You are either a believer or not. Believers join together to share the Good News. There is no room for division.
John did reiterate the need for discipling believers. There are little of no materials available in their language. New believers adding traditions to the Word has cause many false doctrines here and has a danger of unraveling the act of faith in Jesus that is spreading like wildfire across this country. Nothing turns the lost off from the Gospel than believers fighting. Pray for churches like ours committed to seeing believers trained and developed.
Pray for our travels today. We travel further into the country this afternoon. We’ll make a 2 hour flight to another city to meet up with other’s serving here. Once there, we’ll begin to settle into our role as students and teachers for a week. Pray for our safety, security and opportunities.
One last prayer request –
As we leave our hotel today, I’ll leave a 4 Laws with two of our hotel workers – Thomas and Vicki. Pray that they will take and read. Pray that the Word of God shared in that presentation and will come to life and lead them to the Father.
Thank you for your partnership. Without you, our mission opportunities would not be possible. You are making an impact for the Kingdom both at home and around the world.
May we work until all the peoples praise Him!
